Android Authority reported on Sept. 30, 2026, that the new look includes a full overhaul of artist pages. Those pages now feature large artwork and bios that are easier to reach. The app also better mirrors the iOS original and includes a dash of Liquid Glass, the design element mentioned in the report.

The Android version of Apple Music has been available for more than a decade. In recent years, Android Authority said, the Android app has felt like it was missing some of the polish of its iOS sibling. The 7.0 release makes the Android app better mirror the iOS experience, according to the report. The outlet also noted that services from major smartphone platforms are increasingly available outside their own ecosystems, pointing to Gemini on iPhone and Apple TV on Pixel as examples. Even so, it said, access does not always mean an identical experience, and disparities are not uncommon.

According to the report, X user Sumanta Das gave a heads-up that the app's new look was rolling out. Android Authority then confirmed that users registered for the Apple Music beta are receiving the refreshed UI. The publication presented the new interface alongside a comparison with the previous design.

The rollout is limited to beta testers for now. The report did not provide a timeline for when the updated design would reach all Android users.
