Apple Music appears to be rolling out a new logo with bolder, lowercase styling

Apple Music appears to be rolling out a redesigned logo with bolder, lowercase lettering after it was spotted in an iOS beta and other Apple channels, according to 9to5Mac.

The first public sighting came when Apple announced the opening of Apple Music Hall last month. The venue's official website showed a light version of the new logo in the header and a dark version in the footer. At the time, it was unclear whether the logo would remain exclusive to the venue's branding, because its bold typeface matched Apple Music Hall's overall look.

Since then, Apple has used the new logo in Instagram Reels that are unrelated to Apple Music Hall. Aaron Perris found evidence of it in iOS 27.2 beta 3, 9to5Mac reported. The official Apple Music website still displays the old look.

Apple has previously taken a slow approach to rebranding. The report cited the company's transition from Apple TV+ to Apple TV last year, which moved gradually. A name change is a much bigger undertaking than a new logo, but Apple may take a similar approach to rolling out the redesigned Apple Music logo.

Apple Music is available for $11.99 per month, or as part of the Apple One bundle.
