Apple Opens 27.2 Public Betas for iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS

Apple has released public betas of iPadOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2 and tvOS 27.2, adding a new Health app with Apple Intelligence, Apple TV profiles and broader Siri AI language support.

The public betas follow developer builds of the same 27.2 versions that Apple distributed earlier in the week. Those came shortly after the company shipped major new software versions for its full lineup of platforms to general users, 9to5Mac reported. According to the report, version 27.1 is being skipped in beta testing because that release will focus mainly on changes related to iPhone Duo.

The most visible changes in the 27.2 cycle are in iPadOS and iOS. iPadOS 27.2 introduces a new Health app that includes Apple Intelligence features, among them Insights and Longevity tabs. The update also adds Profiles to the Apple TV app, a feature the report describes as long overdue for parents whose children watch video on an iPad.

In addition, the iPadOS build carries over a Siri AI capability that had previously been exclusive to macOS Golden Gate, and Siri AI support expands to a set of new languages.

The report did not detail the changes included in the watchOS 27.2 or tvOS 27.2 builds, and it did not say when the final versions of these releases are expected to reach all users.

Testers who want to install the builds can find them through the Software Update screen in Settings, after opting in to beta updates.
