Apple Reported to Plan More Than Seven Product Launches in October, Starting Next Week
Apple is reported to have more than seven new products slated for October, beginning with a home device refresh on October 13 that centers on Siri AI, followed by new Macs, the foldable iPhone Duo and an upgraded iPad mini.
The first wave is said to arrive on Tuesday, October 13, and focuses on Apple's home lineup. The reported updates center on Siri AI and other Apple Intelligence features that the company is expected to limit to new hardware. The rumored devices include a new Apple TV 4K with an A19 or A19 Pro chip, Siri AI and a new Siri Remote; a product described as HomePad, a home hub with a built-in touchscreen; and a second-generation HomePod mini with a more powerful chip and upgraded audio.
More Macs are also on the reported schedule. Apple has already had a busy year on that front, launching MacBook Neo, the M5 MacBook Air and high-end M5 MacBook Pros in the spring, followed by the recent Mac mini and Mac Studio debuts, according to 9to5Mac. The outlet lists three additional models in the pipeline, including what would be Apple's first touchscreen MacBook: a redesigned high-end MacBook Pro, referred to as MacBook Pro or Ultra, with a touch display and OLED panel; an M6 MacBook Pro positioned as an update to the 14-inch base model; and an M6 iMac with a more powerful chip and new color options.
The iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable iPhone, reaches customers this month. Pre-orders open on October 16, ahead of the first deliveries on October 23. Bloomberg reports that an upgraded iPad mini could launch around the same time, with an OLED display, an A20 Pro chip and thinner bezels.
