Apple's Camera-Equipped AirPods Appear in macOS 26.7 Demo Video
A demo video inside macOS 26.7 RC suggests Apple's rumored camera-equipped AirPods will feature Visual Intelligence, letting users ask Siri to save items they see. The AirPods could launch as early as next month.
The video shows a man wearing AirPods asking Siri to remember a book he is looking at. A voice-over says: "With Visual Intelligence, your world becomes savable. See something you like? Just ask me to save it for later."
The cameras are not visible in the clip, and the earbuds resemble the current AirPods Pro, except for a slightly thicker stem. The same video was also shared on X by developer Aaron Perris.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple could launch AirPods with cameras as early as this year under the codename B790. MacRumors also found references to B790 in the macOS 26.7 RC, including code for an "image stream."
According to Bloomberg, these AirPods are separate from another camera-equipped model under the codename B798, which is expected in 2027.
Given the demo's inclusion in macOS 26.7 RC, it is highly likely that Apple will announce the camera-equipped AirPods at its iPhone event next month.
