Apple to Bring Siri AI to Five More Languages in October
Apple says its rebuilt Siri AI will reach French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish speakers in October, after months of English beta testing.
Siri AI is already available in English through the iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate betas, according to Engadget, which reported the announcement on September 9, 2026. Apple plans to roll the feature out more broadly to English-speaking users once it makes those updates available to the public.
At the same event, the company said it intends to bring Siri AI to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish speaking users sometime next month, Engadget reported. Apple did not say when in October each language would arrive, and the report described the announcement as still developing.
Apple also confirmed that Siri AI would include a daily usage allowance for prompts that require the assistant to draw on the company's cloud compute AI models. Engadget reported that it was waiting for Apple to share further details, and that the company said its iCloud+ subscription plans would offer expanded usage limits.
The language expansion follows a period in which the rebuilt assistant has been available only in English betas tied to Apple's next-generation operating systems. Apple has not said how the cloud-compute limits will apply to users who do not subscribe to iCloud+.
