Apple TV Adds 15 Free Classic Movies, Expanding Streaming Library

Apple TV has dropped 15 new classic movies for subscribers, following last month’s addition. Titles include popular films, but availability may be limited.

The fresh lineup includes a variety of films, though Apple did not provide a full list in its announcement. Based on reports from 9to5Mac, the new titles range from action to family fare, with availability varying by region. For U.S. viewers, all 15 films are currently accessible.

The additions come as Apple TV, historically focused on original programming, has begun licensing more third-party content. Last month, the service introduced classics like The Bourne Identity, E.T., and The Rookie. Some of those titles remain available, but most have been removed as the new batch arrived.

Apple has not said how long the latest films will stay on the service. The company advises viewers to watch soon if they see a title of interest, as the previous batch lasted only about a month.

The new movies join Apple TV’s lineup ahead of several original shows and films expected in September. Apple TV costs $14.99 per month, or is available at a discount through Apple One bundles.
