Apple TV Drops All Six Episodes of 'The Sisters Grimm' Season 2

Apple TV released the full second season of its animated fantasy adventure series "The Sisters Grimm" on Oct. 2, putting all six new episodes on the service at once. The show is based on Michael Buckley's best-selling book series.

The full-season launch came a few days after the streaming service issued a trailer for the new batch of episodes, according to the technology site 9to5Mac, which reported the release.

The series is adapted from Michael Buckley's New York Times best-selling book series of the same name. Its first season premiered on Apple TV last year and holds a 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, 9to5Mac reported.

According to Apple TV's synopsis, the show follows two sisters who "navigate a town full of people torn straight from fantasy and fairy tales, confronting heroes and villains alike, while investigating the mystery of their missing parents." The voice cast includes Abubakar Salim, known for "Jamestown"; Ariel Winter of "Modern Family"; and Leah Newman of "Kindergarten: The Musical."

Apple TV's own description of the second season places the story one year after the sisters' parents vanish mysteriously. Sabrina and Daphne Grimm continue uncovering the secrets of Ferryport Landing, a town where fairy tales and fairy tale creatures are real, as they face new adventures and mysteries.

Apple TV is priced at $14.99 per month or is offered as part of the Apple One bundle. Its catalog includes "Ted Lasso," "Severance," "The Studio," "The Morning Show," "Shrinking" and "Silo."

The second season consists of six episodes, all of which are now streaming.
