Apple Wallet driver's license support launches in Oklahoma

Apple Wallet driver's license support launches in Oklahoma, the 16th state, for iPhone and Apple Watch users.

To add a license, users open the Wallet app, tap the plus icon in the upper-right corner, scan the front and back of their physical license, and verify their identity. The expansion to Oklahoma comes one week after the feature launched in Virginia. MacRumors first reported the Oklahoma rollout. Kentucky, Utah, Connecticut, Mississippi, and North Carolina are also working on support.

Apple Wallet driver's licenses can be used at TSA checkpoints at more than 250 airports, as well as at select businesses and venues. Apple initially announced the feature at WWDC in 2021, and it has expanded gradually since then.

For residents of states without support, Apple introduced a Digital ID feature last year that uses a U.S. passport to create a digital version of the passport for TSA checkpoints.
