Asus ROG 27-Inch OLED Monitor Drops to Lowest Price of $384 at Amazon
TechRadar reports Amazon has cut the Asus ROG 27-inch OLED monitor to $384 from $599, a $215 discount and the lowest price it has seen for the model on Amazon.
The monitor uses a 27-inch glossy OLED display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. TechRadar says the viewable WOLED panel measures 26.5 inches and delivers sharp images and enough desktop space for everyday tasks. It offers a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, 99% DCI-P3 color coverage, Delta E < 2, and true 10-bit color support. The TrueBlack Glossy finish is intended to produce clear images and rich colors.
TechRadar describes the monitor as best for content creators and professionals who want excellent contrast, accurate colors, and a smooth display for photo and video editing. For video editing, the publication points to the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time as useful features. It also notes that Asus OLED Care Pro includes functions designed to reduce the risk of burn-in, while DisplayWidget Center software allows users to adjust monitor settings through their computer rather than relying entirely on physical controls.
According to TechRadar, Amazon cut the price from $599 to $384, saving buyers $215, or approximately 36%. The publication says this is the lowest price it has seen this model sell for on Amazon so far.
TechRadar advises buying the ROG 27-inch OLED monitor for high-quality creative work, citing deep blacks, excellent contrast, wide color coverage, a 240Hz refresh rate, and vivid images. It advises skipping the monitor for buyers who need a 4K display, regularly work with static content for extended periods, or use their computer in a brightly lit environment.
