ASUS unveils esports-focused Ace gaming monitors with up to 720Hz OLEDs

ASUS introduced three new esports gaming monitors at Gamescom 2026, all with 24.5-inch OLEDs and refresh rates up to 720Hz.

The fastest model, the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, features a 720Hz refresh rate, a Tandem 1080p WOLED panel, up to 1,700 nits of peak brightness, and Dolby Vision support. ASUS says the monitor also includes a "Position Sensor" that measures height and tilt, displaying those stats onscreen to help users reproduce their ideal setup when traveling with the display.

Two additional models use QD-OLED panels. The ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace offers a 560Hz refresh rate and includes ASUS’s "BlackShield" film and anti-glare coating, which the company says improves perceived black levels by up to 40 percent while increasing panel hardness. The ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace has the same film and anti-glare treatment with a 360Hz refresh rate, making it a more affordable option, according to ASUS.

These new Ace monitors follow the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, which ASUS originally showed off at Computex 2026. The company had previously offered high-quality OLED gaming monitors, including two 27-inch models introduced at CES this year, but these are the first in a more portable 24.5-inch size.

ASUS says the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace and the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace will be available in early Q4 at $1,099 and $699, respectively. The company did not share a release window or price for the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace, its cheapest option.
