Baidu's GenFlow rebrands as 'Kuku AI', launches standalone AI office suite

At Baidu AI Day on August 14, Baidu Wenku and Wangpan's GenFlow announced its Chinese name 'Kuku AI' and launched a standalone AI office product line, including PC client, web, mini-program and enterprise edition.

Baidu Wenku and Wangpan began their foray into general-purpose AI office three years ago. In 2023, both products underwent large-model reconstruction, introducing leading AI office capabilities such as intelligent PPT and AI research reports. In 2024, they were fully integrated, combining 1.8 billion professional documents from Baidu Wenku, 700 million academic articles, and private knowledge from Wangpan, continuously building a data flywheel. Kuku AI's 1.0 version was launched in April 2025 and quickly iterated to 4.0, operating across domestic and overseas products including Wenku, Wangpan, and Oreate AI.

Kuku AI can call Office Agents to execute parallel tasks through a single instruction, handling complex office jobs across PPT, Excel, and Word, as well as generating and editing cross-modal content such as AI posters, videos, podcasts, mind maps, code, mini-programs, and web pages. It claims industry-first full-modal generality and proactive service. Its architecture is built on MoE, tools, editors, skills, professional sub-agents, long-term memory, and end-cloud collaboration.

The product has received national recognition. On August 5, the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center released an Office Agent workflow evaluation report, ranking Baidu Wenku first and placing it alone in the top tier. Last year, Baidu Wenku also ranked first in a PPT generation evaluation by the same center.

The new Kuku AI office mode is initially optimized for financial scenarios. It features cross-device and cross-time task relay, allowing users to handle full-chain office tasks on a mobile phone even when their computer is off, and remotely operate multiple computers and folders. Unlike similar products with limited automation, Kuku AI claims industry-first 24/7 automated task execution, such as long-duration stock monitoring, with low token consumption. It includes financial data like global listed company information, stock quotes, financial reports, and research reports from Baidu's exclusive databases. Users can generate professional Word research reports, financial analysis PPTs, financial model Excel files, and also have capabilities like real-time recording, AI meeting participation, and AI minutes. Exclusive financial experts and Skill ecosystems are available, allowing users to employ roles like stock researchers, quantitative investment managers, and wealth management consultants, along with Skills for K-line analysis, investment review, three-statement models, DCF, comparable companies, and industry one-pagers.

The Kuku AI enterprise edition is designed for organizations, focusing on professional capabilities, collaboration closure, and data security. It integrates public professional content, enterprise private knowledge, and industry-specific resources, leveraging experience from 800,000 enterprises and a Skills ecosystem co-built with 500 professional institutions. It supports shared context, task collaboration, and knowledge asset auditing, with unified governance and identity verification. The enterprise edition provides richer institutional financial data, including full research reports, top-ten brokerage reports, and financial roadshow minutes, plus exclusive financial model Skills such as SOTP, LBO, and M&A models. It has been deployed in finance and other knowledge-intensive industries, with plans to expand across industries.
