Bambu Lab P1S Combo 3D printer drops to $499, near all-time low at major retailers
Bambu Lab's P1S Combo 3D printer is now $499 at official and third-party retailers, near its all-time low, bringing multicolor printing within easier reach.
The printer arrives fully assembled and can be set up in about 15 minutes. It automatically handles bed leveling and vibration compensation before printing. It supports PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, and ABS filament, uses 1.75mm filament with a 0.4mm nozzle, and offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and microSD connectivity.
The Combo's main draw is the AMS automatic material system, which switches filaments during a print to create multicolor objects without manual spool changes. TechRadar writes that the combination of speed, automatic calibration, and broad material support makes the P1S a machine users are unlikely to outgrow quickly. Its enclosed body also allows printing with more demanding materials such as ABS.
On pricing, TechRadar notes this is about as low as the P1S Combo currently goes. Amazon's $499.99 matches the all-time low it reached in July, while the printer usually holds steady around $550. Buying directly from Bambu Lab costs $499, saving a cent compared with the other two retailers.
The outlet recommends the P1S Combo for users who want ambitious or multicolor printing without constant manual configuration. It suggests skipping it if you only need simple single-color PLA prints, as a simpler and cheaper model would suffice. One caveat is that not every filament works well with the AMS; flexible materials such as TPU require different handling, and the built-in 2.7-inch display is relatively basic.
