Baseus Bowie MC2 NC launches at IFA 2026 with noise cancellation for open earbuds
Baseus unveiled the Bowie MC2 NC at IFA 2026, adding noise cancellation to its budget open earbuds for $99.99.
The new model is due to go on sale later this month for $99.99, slightly above the $79.99 / £89.99 price of the original Bowie MC2, which earned a glowing review from TechRadar about two weeks ago. Aside from the new noise-cancellation feature and a redesigned ear cushion, the buds feature the same sound profile and charging case, according to the report.
Noise cancellation is uncommon on open earbuds, as the open design is meant to let users hear surroundings. The article names Honor's Earbuds Open and Shokz' OpenFit Pro as rare examples with ANC, but both use more traditional shells rather than the cuff/clip shape of the Baseus Bowie. Baseus says it redesigned the 'air cushion' around the bud to block the ear better and create an acoustic seal that can help suppress background noise.
The charging case's stated stamina is improved to 60 hours, though actual battery life after noise-cancellation use will likely be lower, TechRadar notes.
