Beats and Pokémon Team Up for Special-Edition Beats Pill
Beats and The Pokémon Company announced a special-edition Beats Pill with Pikachu and Mimikyu designs, Pokémon charms, and interactive packaging. It will be available to order Oct. 15 for $149.99.
Beats said the collaboration is “here to unleash the energy of your music, inspired by the power of Pikachu’s brightest spark and the depths of Mimikyu’s mystery.” According to 9to5Mac, the grill carries both Pokémon, with the front and back incorporating Pikachu’s electric yellow and a grayscale interpretation of Mimikyu.
The special-edition Pill comes with bespoke Pokémon charms, including the Poké Ball, the Beats “b” logo and lightning bolts, a signature symbol for Pikachu. It also has its own playfully interactive packaging design.
Chris Thorne, Beats CMO, said in a statement: “Pokémon Trainers are some of the most passionate in the world, and we saw an opportunity to channel that energy into something fun, unexpected, and created especially for fans. This collaboration unites two brands rooted in culture, giving fans a new way to express their love of Pokémon through sound.”
Apart from the Pokémon design, the product is the same Beats Pill that Beats revitalized in 2024 with better Apple integration, USB-C, 24 hours of battery life and more, 9to5Mac reported.
The speaker will be sold in the United States through Apple and Target, in the UK through Apple and Argos, and in China through Douyin, according to 9to5Mac. Beats said more information and launch details are available on its website.
