Best Buy clearance cuts Razer Kishi Ultra to $104.99 as model is phased out

Best Buy has cut the Razer Kishi Ultra to $104.99, a $45 clearance discount, TechRadar reported.

TechRadar's review called the Kishi Ultra the best mobile controller it has tested, after hands-on testing with numerous models across the price spectrum. It said the device is supremely comfortable in the hands and offers full-size thumbsticks and buttons, a rarity among mobile controllers. The controller also includes software that enables compatibility with games that do not traditionally support mobile pads, and it has full RGB lighting, according to the article.

The Kishi Ultra works with a wide range of USB Type-C phones and even smaller tablets, TechRadar said. The publication awarded it a rare full five-star score. It formerly held a place in TechRadar's best mobile controllers guide, but was replaced by the Razer Kishi V3 Pro when availability started to become more limited.

Razer is phasing out the Kishi Ultra in favor of the newer Kishi V3 Pro, according to TechRadar, though the article said the V3 Pro is not meaningfully better. The Best Buy offer is labeled as clearance, and TechRadar noted that the older model has become hard to find.

TechRadar said the Kishi Ultra remains an excellent pad and, in its view, is actually the better of the two models. It is cheaper than the V3 Pro and includes RGB lighting, which the V3 Pro lacks. Performance is otherwise extremely similar, so buyers are not losing out by choosing the slightly older design, the article said.

TechRadar recommended that shoppers snap up the controller while they can, calling it a near-perfect mobile controller and a rare five-star product.
