Best Buy cuts base M4 Mac Mini to $649 for the rest of the day
Best Buy is selling the base M4 Mac Mini for $649, $150 below its $799 list price, according to The Verge.
The Verge reported that the M4 Mac Mini normally makes less sense at $799 because the newer, faster M6 version has been available from Amazon for $779.99, originally $899, for the past couple of weeks. At $649, The Verge said, the M4 model becomes "a much more tempting price."
The M4 Mac Mini launched at $599 in 2024. The Verge said buyers who skip the M6 model do not miss much beyond generational gains in processing power: the two models have nearly identical designs and ports, and either requires a separate keyboard, mouse, display and webcam. The Verge also said the M6 may be worth the extra $130 for some buyers and pointed readers to its reviews of both models.
The report also listed other discounts. LG's C6 OLED television lineup received price cuts, with the 55-inch model at $999.99 at Amazon, Best Buy and Costco, down from $1,399.99. The 65-inch model is $1,399.99, down from $1,699.99 and normally selling for about $1,500, while the 77-inch C6H is $1,999.99, down from $2,499.99. The Verge said the 55-inch price had not gone below $1,299.99 before.
Best Buy's deal of the day includes a 14-inch HP OmniBook 3 for $499.99, with a 2K OLED screen, a Snapdragon X ARM processor, 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The Verge called it "a fantastic option for anyone on a budget" and said the Snapdragon processor can run most x86 Windows 11 apps without much issue.
In games, the Silent Hill 2 remake is $21.34 on Steam for PC via Fanatical, according to the report. Resident Evil Requiem is $49.99 on all platforms at Amazon, $20 off.
