Best Buy's Labor Day Sale Discounts Existing Sonos Soundbars and Headphones
TechRadar: Best Buy's Labor Day sale drops the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) to $369 and original Ace headphones to $299.
TechRadar says the discounted Beam (Gen 2) retains a four-star rating from its review, describing it as a compact soundbar with an impressively wide soundstage, straightforward hookup and Dolby Atmos support. The publication notes the $369 price is the model's lowest outside Black Friday and calls it a suitable all-in-one choice for TV, movies and music, with no separate subwoofer needed to save space.
The original Sonos Ace headphones, also rated four stars by TechRadar, are $100 off at $299. The report recommends them mainly for people who will use headphones to watch films, TV shows or sports without disturbing others. It highlights wired or wireless hi-res audio, up to 30 hours of battery life and connectivity with Sonos soundbars, while acknowledging the integration is not as complete as it could be.
For shoppers weighing the old versus new Ace, TechRadar says the upcoming Ace Ultra headphones will bring better integration with the wider Sonos ecosystem, but will cost up to $449 at launch, making the discounted original considerably cheaper.
Best Buy's sale also includes $100 off Sonos' flagship Arc Ultra soundbar, which TechRadar's review described as the best all-in-one Dolby Atmos soundbar available, and a $40 reduction on the Sonos Era 300 speaker, described as offering wide, full-room audio with Dolby Atmos. TechRadar said the Era 300 is likely to appeal most to audio enthusiasts, while the Beam Gen 2 and Arc Ultra remain strong options for home cinema.
