Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Drops to $209.99 for October Prime Day
The Verge reports that Bissell's ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus upright carpet cleaner is down to $209.99 at Amazon and Bissell during October Prime Day, from $279.99. It is pitched for pet owners and larger carpet-cleaning jobs.
The Verge writer said they had previously relied on Bissell’s Little Green carpet cleaner, which costs under $100, fits on a closet shelf and handles small messes. After enough spots were cleaned, however, the cleaned areas stood out against the rest of the carpet, making a full-carpet cleaning necessary. The writer upgraded to the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus after researching upright machines, paying $279.99 about a month before the current discount and wishing they had waited.
The ProHeat 2X is described as a more powerful upright model. The Verge said the Little Green leaves scrubbing to the user while handling suction, whereas the ProHeat 2X has deep-cleaning brushes, large reservoirs for dirty water and cleaning fluid, and an accessory port for a brush-equipped hose for spot cleaning. Those features essentially duplicate every feature the writer liked in the smaller model, the report said.
Bissell notes that users will need to buy cleaning solution after a handful of large-scale cleaning efforts, and a large bottle costs about $23. The Verge writer said they found they did not need to use as much solution per gallon of water as Bissell recommends on the bottle.
The writer also said one of their cats threw up in various places around their apartment the previous night, and they planned to use the carpet cleaner that day. The Verge’s report frames the October Prime Day price as a chance to buy the upright machine for less than the writer paid, while Best Buy’s current price remains higher.
