Bose announces wired USB-C ANC earbuds with lossless audio
Bose has announced wired USB-C active noise-cancelling earbuds with lossless 24-bit/48kHz audio, inline controls and no Bluetooth pairing or charging. They are priced at £99 in the UK and will go on sale on Oct. 15, 2026, according to TechRadar.
TechRadar reported on Sept. 29, 2026, that the earbuds are designed to avoid several common compromises of Bluetooth models. They do not need to compress audio for wireless transmission or rely on a battery, and they do not require pairing or a companion app. Because they use USB Audio Class 2, Bose says the connection is plug-and-play, widely supported, very low latency and closely synchronized with on-screen content.
Wired earbuds rarely offer active noise cancellation, but the Bose model does. The inline remote controls volume, playback, calls and noise-cancellation modes. It offers three noise-control settings: Off, Aware and Quiet. The Aware and Quiet modes use Bose’s four-microphone QuietControl system to process and remove ambient audio. The remote also contains a dedicated microphone for voice calls and voice control.
The earbuds are IPX4-rated for water resistance and come in Black, White Smoke and Dewdrop Mint. Bose includes two sizes of wingtips and three sizes of ear tips. There is no 3.5mm headphone plug; the connection is USB-C. They will be available to buy from Oct. 15, 2026, TechRadar reported.
