Android Authority reported the deal on Sep 18, 2026, at 12:32 p.m. ET. The discount amounts to 33 percent off the regular price. The publication said that at $199, the earbuds have never been cheaper.

The Ultra Open Earbuds are different from typical wireless earbuds. They are clip-on, cuff-shaped devices that sit outside the ear canal instead of sealing off the ears. That design helps users stay aware of what is going on around them while still providing fuller sound than many open designs, according to the report. The deal applies to the original Ultra Open Earbuds, even as Bose has announced a second-generation version.

Android Authority identified comfort as a major part of the appeal. The unusual fit is one of the main reasons people choose the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds over regular in-ear models, especially for long listening sessions. Bose also includes Bluetooth multipoint, which lets the earbuds stay connected to two devices at once. The product offers app-based controls and customization for a more tailored setup.

Battery life is rated at up to 7 hours per charge. With immersive features enabled, that rating drops to about 4 hours. The charging case adds about 19.5 hours of use, according to the report.

The earbuds are also known for spacious, enjoyable sound for an open-ear model, along with solid call quality and everyday convenience. Software updates since launch have improved connectivity, Android Authority said. Even with the second-generation version announced, the original Ultra Open Earbuds remain a strong pick, especially when their price drops as it has in this deal.

At Amazon, the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are listed at $199, down from $299. The $100 saving represents a 33 percent discount. Android Authority described the price as the lowest the model has seen.
