Bottoms Seeks Georgia Data Center Pause; Court Unseals New Comey Charges
Bottoms seeks a pause on new Georgia data centers; court unseals new DOJ charges against James Comey.
Bottoms said the pause could last from one month to six months or longer, and that Georgia should determine whether it needs additional data centers and how to allow future development responsibly. She spoke with Joe Mathieu and Kailey Leinz in the pre-recorded interview.
Bottoms also called for expanding Medicaid in Georgia, arguing that 300,000 people lack health insurance coverage because the state has not done so and that nine rural hospitals have closed. On immigration, she said she supports responsible, lawful enforcement but opposes tactics she considers disruptive to communities and local law enforcement.
The new charges against Comey were unsealed by a court, according to Bloomberg. The Bloomberg report did not include details about the nature of the charges.
On the same program, Mark Esper, former defense secretary and a partner at Red Cell Ventures, said he does not see the benefit of a U.S. attack on Iran and that the economic blockade is working.
