Bournemouth Host AC Milan in First Competitive Meeting; Brazil Gets Free Europa League Stream
Bournemouth host AC Milan in the Europa League on Oct. 22, with a free stream in Brazil and subscription options in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
TechRadar reports the match kicks off at 8pm BST / 3pm ET / 12pm PT on Thursday, 22 October, which is 6am AEDT on Friday, 23 October. In Brazil, CazeTV will show the game on YouTube without requiring an account or subscription. In the US, Paramount+ will carry it, with subscriptions starting at $8.99 a month and rising to $13.99 to remove ads; TechRadar also notes a Paramount+ trial available with Walmart+ for $1. In the UK, TNT Sports 1 and HBO Max will broadcast the match, with TNT Sports available through Sky, Virgin Media or EE TV packages or an HBO Max plan that includes TNT Sports, starting at £25.99 a month on a one-year commitment. Canadian viewers can use DAZN’s soccer package from CA$24.99 a month, while Stan Sport in Australia costs from AU$29.99 a month for the basic plan with ads, made up of an AU$9.99 Stan subscription and a AU$20 Sport add-on. TechRadar recommends NordVPN for viewers outside their home country who want to access their usual service, citing a 75% discount and three extra months free.
Bournemouth reached the competition after finishing sixth in the Premier League last season, qualifying for Europe for the first time. They have beaten Real Sociedad and Sturm Graz in their opening two league-phase matches and beat Sunderland 2-0 on Sunday for their first Premier League win under Marco Rose. TechRadar describes Bournemouth as arguably favourites and says they will believe they have the quality to beat Milan in what would be the most eye-catching victory in the club’s 126-year history. Left-back Adrien Truffert is available despite suffering cramp on Sunday, but Eli Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott remain sidelined.
Milan last visited the south coast of England in November 2008, when Ronaldinho, Kaka, Andriy Shevchenko and others faced Portsmouth at Fratton Park; at that time Bournemouth were battling at the bottom of League Two and close to going bust. Milan no longer boast the galaxy of superstars they had in years gone by, but TechRadar reports they remain a huge draw. Ruben Amorim’s side are one of the favourites to win the competition and are unbeaten in Serie A this season. They lost 2-0 at home to Benfica in gameweek one before thrashing RB Salzburg 4-0 in Austria seven days ago. Rising star Alphadjo Cisse could start on his 20th birthday after scoring a hat-trick against Salzburg.
