Budget Logitech G316 X 75 Impresses TechRadar More Than Premium G Play 2026 Launches

The Pro X2 Rapid keyboard is priced at $229.99 / £209.99 / AU$399.95, while the Pro X3 Superstrike mouse costs $199.99 / £169.99 / AU$299.95, according to TechRadar. Despite those top-tier specifications and prices, TechRadar said its highlight was a product at the other end of the price spectrum.

The Logitech G316 X 75 is the latest addition to Logitech's more budget-oriented G3 series and a smaller version of the G316 X 98 released earlier this year. TechRadar said it paid little attention to the original full-size model because it prefers compact designs. As a 75% size keyboard, the G316 X 75 removes the numpad and less-used keys such as Home and End, freeing roughly 2.4 inches, or 6 centimeters, on the right side for a mousepad.

TechRadar described the G316 X 75 as flashy, with full RGB backlighting and a large LED strip whose zones can be customized in Logitech G Hub. A small LED screen in the top right corner works with a button and dial to turn on game mode, which locks the Windows key, adjust music volume, or change settings such as RGB brightness. The screen shows a dancing smiley face when the keyboard is idle, but a representative told TechRadar that users cannot display custom icons or emoji for now.

The materials were decent for the price, according to TechRadar. The keyboard is entirely plastic but feels weighty and suitably premium, with no noticeable flex while typing. Its keycaps are double-shot PBT with shine-through legends, and both keycaps and switches are hot-swappable for easy repairs.

TechRadar said the switches are tactile models developed by Logitech and feel different from alternatives from Cherry or Akko. They require more force to press and lack the noticeable mid-press biting point typical of tactile switches, which TechRadar called unusual but not necessarily bad. They are not very loud and feel smooth and satisfying.

The keyboard is wired-only and geared more toward casual gaming, TechRadar reported, but it includes an 8kHz report rate that should help avoid delayed inputs in competitive titles such as Counter-Strike 2. It is priced at £89.99 / $99.99 / AU$169.95. TechRadar said it has tested keyboards that cost much more and offer less value, and it could see the G316 X 75 becoming a go-to choice for cost-conscious gamers.
