Bynario raises €2.1m pre-seed to tackle cybersecurity's AI slop problem
Italian startup Bynario raised €2.1m in pre-seed funding for tools that identify and prioritise software vulnerabilities.
The company's research recently identified more than 50 bugs in the latest version of Apple's MacBook operating system, according to the same report. That work points to the problem Bynario is addressing: security teams receive more reported flaws than they can fix at once and have to work out which ones to handle first.
Sifted reported the raise as an attempt to tackle cybersecurity's "AI slop" problem, the volume of machine-generated material that security staff have to sift through. Bynario's tools are aimed at that sorting and prioritisation stage rather than at finding flaws alone.
Bynario is based in Italy and describes its purpose as helping organisations identify and prioritise vulnerabilities in the software they run. The €2.1 million comes as a pre-seed round, the earliest stage of institutional venture financing.
