Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 final season adds Doom crossover and Halloween event ahead of Modern Warfare 4
Activision announced the final season of Black Ops 7, featuring a Doom crossover, Halloween content, and a new map, before Modern Warfare 4's release.
Activision unveiled the upcoming season, which is described as a smaller update given the forthcoming release of a new game. It includes the annual The Haunting event, with a wide array of spooky rewards. A prominent Doom crossover will allow players to unlock numerous Doom-themed items through a limited-time event pass, split into a free track and a premium track.
The free track features new operator skins for Wei Lin and Falkner, an adorable Mini Slayer weapon charm, and other rewards. Completing the entire free track grants the Roc 20mm special weapon, a massive cannon-like rifle firing devastating 20mm rounds. The premium track unlocks the Doom Slayer as a playable operator in the JSOC faction, with default attire from Doom: The Dark Ages and an alternate classic 1993-style skin as the final reward.
Other additions include the TR41 Para Assault Rifle available at launch and the Arcblade melee weapon arriving later, plus new weapon attachments for the VS Recon Sniper Rifle, Dravec 45 SMG, and Sokol 545 LMG. On the map front, the season is sparse, introducing only one new multiplayer map called Quantum, described as a ruined laboratory, along with a new version of the existing Homestead map named Bloodstead. The popular Hordepoint mode from previous games will also return, where players battle a rival team while waves of zombies spawn.
The season arrives alongside a fresh battle pass filled with new skins and unlocks, as well as additional content for the Zombies and Endgame modes and the free-to-play Warzone battle royale. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Xbox One.
