CASETiFY Readies Protective, Customizable Cases for iPhone 18 Series, ifanr Reports

According to ifanr, CASETiFY has prepared multiple case lines for Apple's iPhone 18 series, combining drop protection with customization. The article details iPhone 18 Pro durability concerns, drop tests, material checks and options for the foldable iPhone Duo.

The ifanr article followed Apple's annual iPhone event. It described the iPhone 18 Pro as the most powerful straight-screen model to date, with a 2nm chip, an improved camera system, a smaller Dynamic Island and a new burgundy color. It also mentioned the foldable iPhone Duo. According to ifanr, the iPhone 18 Pro is priced above 10,000 yuan and is likely to be used for three to four years.

ifanr said complaints about iPhone 17 Pro durability had continued over the past year. It said Apple used a larger VC vapor chamber for better heat dissipation, which led to internal mainboard changes, while the aluminum alloy body was relatively soft. A casual impact could cause paint loss, dents or local deformation, and severe hits could damage internal components, according to the article. ifanr said the iPhone 18 Pro series uses the same material and structure, so the concern carries over.

For the iPhone 18 series, CASETiFY has two core drop-protection options, the strong drop-resistant case and the extra-strong drop-resistant case, according to ifanr. Both use an internal EcoShock threaded cushioning structure to absorb and disperse impact instead of letting it concentrate at one point. Both also use an Enhanced Duo-Lock structure to keep the frame and backplate tightly fitted and reduce the chance of loosening or deformation after repeated removal and impacts. The frame is slightly raised around the screen and camera to reduce direct glass contact with the ground.

ifanr said the extra-strong drop-resistant case adds Reinforced Ultra Impact Corners at all four corners. The design draws on automotive energy-absorbing crash structures and airbag cushioning, it said. CASETiFY also offers a more structural flexible drop-resistant case with TesseLock cushioning and Bounce protective corners, though ifanr said the strong and extra-strong versions already meet most daily protection needs.

In a test described by ifanr, an iPhone 18 Pro in a strong drop-resistant case was dropped freely from about 1.2 meters and recorded with a high-speed camera. The article said the phone's corner hit the ground first, where impact was most concentrated, before the phone rolled, slowed and stopped. It said accidental drops from a table, pocket or hand are usually about one meter, which is the common risk the cushioning structure, case locking and raised edges are designed for.

ifanr also said CASETiFY's phone cases and components had been tested for restricted substances including lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium and met the limits. It said CASETiFY has accumulated more than 30,000 designs globally and offers personalization options. Beyond drop protection, the article described Crystal Glaze cases with inner-layer printing and scratch-resistant gloss; Mirror cases that combine print with mirror-like visual effects and can be used as a mirror; Wave cases with soft-touch silicone and wavy texture for grip; Cloud silicone cases; and slimmer, lighter cases. It also listed accessories such as airbag stands, ring stands, card holders, wrist straps, chains, straps and beads.

For the foldable iPhone Duo, ifanr said it expected CASETiFY to provide an answer by late October for how to balance protection and personality on a folding phone. The article said that while novelty fades and phones show wear over time, a case can reduce the number of impacts users worry about.
