Chery Fengon T7 Launches with 600km Range Across All Trims, Starting at 94,900 Yuan

Chery Fengon launched the T7 electric SUV on Aug 26, with all trims offering 600km CLTC range and pricing from 94,900 yuan after trade-in. Deliveries started immediately.

The T7 is offered in three trims: 600km Yuexiang (97,900 yuan, or 94,900 yuan with trade-in), 600km Shuxiang (108,900 yuan, or 105,900 yuan with trade-in), and 600km Zhixiang (118,900 yuan, or 115,900 yuan with trade-in). All trims share the same 65.05kWh "Rhino" battery and 178kW motor, with a 12-in-1 Kunpeng e-drive system. Charging from 30% to 80% takes 20 minutes. Chery claims a real-world range of 681.6km, though the testing conditions were not disclosed.

The compact SUV segment is highly competitive, but Fengon T7 distinguishes itself by not tiering the range across trims and by offering safety guarantees. The body is developed to meet 2026 E-NCAP five-star standards, with 80% high-strength steel. The battery pack features a 31-layer "6D chainmail" protective structure, IP68 waterproofing, and 200kN side crush resistance.

Safety promises: If the battery's own defects cause thermal runaway and vehicle damage, Chery will replace it with a new car of same or higher spec. Within one year of purchase, if an accident in parking or intelligent navigation is determined to be caused by the ADAS system, compensation for personal injury and third-party loss up to 5 million yuan.

The Shuxiang trim adds a sunroof, power tailgate, heated and ventilated seats, 50W wireless charging, 540-degree camera, blind-spot detection, door-opening warning, and sentry mode. The top Zhixiang trim includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 cockpit-drive chip and the Falcon 500 driver assistance suite, which uses 3 mmWave radars, 7 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. It supports cross-floor parking, 100-meter reverse tracking, over 300 automatic parking scenarios, and highway pilot.

Chery invested 81 dedicated durability test vehicles, with total test mileage exceeding 6 million kilometers, including 1.45 million kilometers of durability testing. The global test routes covered Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and South Africa. The T7's sibling model, Lepas L6, has already been launched in South Africa and Thailand, and will enter more European and Southeast Asian markets.
