COROS Launches Pace 4 Pro With Bigger Screen and Battery for $449
COROS launched the $449 Pace 4 Pro, an athlete-focused smartwatch with a 1.47-inch screen and up to 21 days of battery life.
The launch comes almost a year after COROS released the Pace 4. The Pace 4 Pro is aimed at athletes across all endurance sports, and Android Authority reported that COROS is among the few brands that can compete with Garmin in the training watch market.
The most prominent change is the screen. The Pace 4 Pro has a 1.47-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which is 22% larger than the Pace 4’s screen and the largest display COROS has ever made. The resolution is 466 x 466 pixels. COROS switched from mineral glass to sapphire glass and from a fiber-reinforced polymer bezel to a titanium alloy (TC4) bezel. The panel delivers up to 3,500 nits of brightness.
Battery life also improves. The Pace 4 was rated for up to 19 days of use, or six days with the Always-On Display turned on. COROS says the Pace 4 Pro offers up to 21 days, or seven days with Always-On Display. The Pro model also has twice the RAM of the Pace 4, which Android Authority said should make the experience feel more responsive.
The larger hardware brings some trade-offs. The watch measures 47.6 x 47.6 x 11.8mm and is 11g heavier than the Pace 4. With a silicone band, it weighs 51g; with a nylon band, it weighs 43g.
The Pace 4 Pro supports voice notes that automatically sync with workout files, allowing users to add reactions to a workout. It has onboard sensors to track heart rate, altitude, ambient temperature, pulse oxygen, and ECG. Users also get access to the full COROS training ecosystem.
The Pace 4 Pro is on sale starting today on COROS’s website. It is available in two color options, Black and White, and is priced at $449.
