Corsair 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 Kit Falls to $560 on Amazon

TechRadar reports a $66 discount on Corsair's 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 kit, aimed at AMD Ryzen builds.

The kit supports both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP and uses a low-profile aluminum heat spreader without RGB lighting. TechRadar said the EXPO profile can set the memory to its full 6000MT/s at CL30 with a single BIOS setting. The publication identified that speed and latency combination as the target for many builders putting together AMD Ryzen 7000 or 9000 systems, while noting that the kit also has an Intel profile for dual-platform use.

TechRadar said memory prices have climbed sharply over the past year, making $559.99 far more than a 32GB DDR5 kit cost not long ago. The deal takes some of the edge off current pricing, according to the report, but soaring RAM costs are expected to last for years. TechRadar described the offer as one of the better RAM deals it had seen for PC builders.

In its buying guidance, TechRadar said the Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 32GB kit is a fit for users building an AMD Ryzen 7000 or 9000 PC who want memory that runs at its rated speed with one click. It said buyers should skip the kit if their PC uses DDR4 or if they want RGB lighting.

TechRadar also listed an alternative option in its report: two 16GB DDR5 modules running at up to 6000MT/s with CL36-44-44-96 timings, AMD Expo and Intel XMP 3.0 support for one-click overclocking. That option includes ten individually addressable RGB LEDs on each module, controllable through Corsair's iCUE software, and onboard voltage regulation for more stable overclocking, according to the report.
