Creality K2 Combo 3D Printer Drops to About $584 at Amazon

The report notes this is not the lowest price the publication has tracked for the K2 Combo, which has fallen closer to $549 during past retailer promotions, so buyers in no hurry may want to wait.

The bundle pairs the K2 printer with one CFS unit, which switches filament spools automatically instead of requiring a user to pause a print and feed new material by hand. A single CFS unit supports up to 16 colors, and the system can be expanded to four units, according to TechRadar. Creality rates the printer at print speeds up to 600mm/s with 20,000mm/s² acceleration, and fits it with a 300°C hardened steel nozzle intended for engineering filaments.

The machine is a direct-drive, Wi-Fi-connected printer with a 260 x 260 x 260mm build volume, smart auto-leveling and an AI chamber camera for failure detection. Its enclosed frame, TechRadar says, makes it a safer choice than open-frame printers for ABS and other filaments prone to warping.

TechRadar writes that the K2 line has built a strong reputation in its testing for combining speed with print quality rather than trading one for the other. The publication describes the CFS multicolor system as the main selling point, since automated spool switching saves time on detailed models and multi-part jobs. It adds that it has not tested this exact SKU.

The deal is aimed at makers who want multicolor printing without manual filament swaps and at users upgrading from an open-frame printer who want an enclosed chamber for tougher materials. TechRadar suggests buyers skip it if they print only single-color models and do not need the CFS unit, if desk space is limited given the machine's size, or if they would rather wait for a deeper discount.
