Crunchyroll Expands Manga Service to UK and Australia

Crunchyroll Manga expands to the UK and Australia, offering 250+ titles to Ultimate subscribers and as an add-on for Fan and Mega Fan plans.

The service, which launched in the US in October last year, includes more than 250 localized manga titles from publishers such as J-Novel Club, Square Enix, and Yen Press. The catalog ranges from major hits including The Apothecary Diaries, My Dress-Up Darling, Bocchi the Rock!, and Bungo Stray Dogs to more niche series. TechRadar reported that the lineup includes two volumes of Re:Zero — Starting Life in Another World.

Crunchyroll Ultimate costs $17.99 or £9.99 a month, according to TechRadar. The report said confirmation is still pending on which Australian tier will include Crunchyroll Manga. Subscribers to the cheaper Fan or Mega Fan tiers can access the manga service as a separate add-on.

TechRadar noted a noticeable omission: Black Butler is not available on the service, even though Crunchyroll holds the global license for the anime adaptation. Crunchyroll says more titles are on the way soon.

Crunchyroll Manga is accessible through a standalone mobile app on Android via Google Play Store and iOS via App Store, or in a web browser through a dedicated tab on the Crunchyroll website. Features include offline reading, personalized reading lists, and curated manga recommendations.
