Crystal Lake Sets Peacock Premiere for October 15

Crystal Lake, the Friday the 13th spin-off starring Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, is expected to debut on Peacock on October 15, with international streaming dates rolling out through late October and all eight episodes arriving at once.

TechRadar reports that Crystal Lake focuses on Pamela before the events of Friday the 13th. The story takes place a year after a young, sickly Jason Voorhees tragically drowns. His single mother, Pamela, is then consumed by grief and clings to a desperate, delusional hope that her son is somehow still alive. Cardellini is stepping into the shoes of an iconic villain who was important in the original Friday the 13th film but has not been seen extensively, according to the outlet.

All eight episodes will drop on streaming services at the same time, TechRadar says. The outlet did not have episode titles for all of them at the time of writing. It listed Episode 1 as The Great Pretender, Episode 2 as Are You Experienced?, Episode 5 as The Acid Queen, Episode 6 as Helter Skelter, and Episode 7 as Blue Skies. Episodes 3, 4, and 8 were listed as TBA.

Outside Peacock, Crystal Lake will be able to stream internationally via platforms such as Sky/NOW TV in the UK, but release dates vary by territory, according to TechRadar. The outlet listed the expected release schedule as Canada on Crave on Thursday, October 15 at 12 a.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET; New Zealand on Neon on Thursday, October 15 at 8 p.m. NZDT; Australia on Stan on Friday, October 16 at 5 p.m. AEDT; and the UK on Sky/NOW TV on Monday, October 19 at 8 a.m. BST. The U.S. Peacock release is also listed for Thursday, October 15 at 12 a.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.

TechRadar based the timing on the platform's usual practice for new releases, which it says usually hit Peacock at midnight Pacific Time. Because release timing can differ depending on country, the outlet described the dates as expected. The series is part of a crowded October 2026 horror slate and is positioned for Halloween celebrations.

The show is a Friday the 13th spin-off series. Its central character, Pamela Voorhees, was the villain in the original film, but the prequel story moves her into the lead role.
