CyberGhost Rebuilds iOS Server List in New iPhone App Update

According to the update's release notes, Browse (All), Streaming and Favourites now sit in their own tabs. Browse holds the full country roster, Streaming collects servers optimised for platforms such as Netflix, and Favourites stores locations a user has saved. Scrolling and animations have been smoothed out throughout the app.

A new search bar sits alongside the tabs, so a country or city name can be typed and reached directly instead of thumbing through the whole list. CyberGhost offers servers in 100 countries, which makes the shortcut more consequential than it would be on a smaller network.

TechRadar, which reported the update, described it as a quality-of-life release rather than a feature drop, aimed at the friction users hit daily when hunting for the right server. Separating streaming servers into their own tab is presented as especially useful given CyberGhost's record at unblocking, while instant search removes guesswork when a specific city is needed for local content.

The update does not touch the app's privacy tooling. CyberGhost's no-logs policy was last put under an independent Deloitte audit in 2024.

The redesign mirrors changes seen elsewhere in CyberGhost's corporate family. Private Internet Access, another service owned by the Kape conglomerate, recently ended a long silence with a wave of app and network upgrades of its own.

CyberGhost is part of Kape and is generally pitched at beginners. It does not appear on TechRadar's list of the best VPN services, where a lack of innovation and a restrictive device-limit system count against it, but the publication rates its speeds and unblocking power for streaming and gaming. For users who install the update, the server picker opens by tapping the location area on the home screen. The tabs along the top switch between Browse, Streaming and Favourites, and the search bar finds a country or city by name. Tapping the star beside a location saves it, so it appears under Favourites the next time the app is opened.
