CyberLink Director Suite discounted to $110 a year

CyberLink Director Suite is on sale for $110 a year in the US, down from $150, and £95 in the UK, down from £130. The bundle includes PowerDirector 365, PhotoDirector 365 and AudioDirector 365, according to TechRadar.

The suite combines video, photo and audio editing applications. TechRadar reported that it provides AI video, photo and audio editing alongside integrated royalty-free Getty Images and Meta stock content. It also gives access to millions of royalty-free videos, images and music tracks from iStock by Getty Images and the Meta Sound Collection, according to the report. Standalone CyberLink apps are also discounted in the US and UK, TechRadar said.

At $109.99 a year instead of $149.99, the annual subscription works out to about $9.17 per month. Paying monthly at $29.99 would cost $359.88 over a year, or $249.89 more, according to TechRadar. UK buyers pay the equivalent of about £7.92 per month under the annual discount.

TechRadar's reviews of the individual applications were positive. Its expert Steve gave PowerDirector four stars and said it "remains one of the best video editing software for beginners, as well as intermediate editors." PhotoDirector received 4.5 stars and was described as a "powerful multi-faceted beast, which not only allows you to organize and improve the quality of your photos, but also offers Photoshop-like compositing tools, as well as numerous generative AI features." AudioDirector received four stars from audio expert Angel, who said it "goes from strength to strength using powerful AI tools to separate elements giving even total novices to recording control over their material."

The applications are designed to work together so projects can be passed between them without repeatedly rendering files, TechRadar reported. The suite also includes a range of AI features.

TechRadar said Director Suite is suitable for people who regularly edit video, photographs and audio and who prefer an integrated collection of creative applications over separate subscriptions. It may not be necessary for users who need only one type of editor, such as those who work almost entirely with video.
