Cyera Raises $400M From Goldman Sachs to Expand AI Agent Security

Cyera raised $400 million from Goldman Sachs as a Series G extension, valuing the AI agent security startup at more than $12 billion.

Cyera sells a cloud platform that helps large enterprises determine where their most sensitive business records are stored. The software also shows what information a record contains, who can access it and whether it is stored securely. Large companies often keep data across dozens of systems, which can make misplaced files difficult to find.

After the first close of its Series G in June, Cyera expanded its focus to artificial intelligence agents. The company launched two products, Agent Guardian and Cyera Endpoint, designed to protect business records from AI-related cybersecurity risks.

Agent Guardian creates an inventory of the agents that interact with a company’s data and scans them for vulnerabilities that could expose records to hacking. It can identify agents with access to more data than they need for their work, and it looks for cybersecurity issues in agent tools and MCP servers. Customers can set policies defining what agents can and cannot do. Cyera automatically detects AI tools that fail to meet those requirements. Agent Guardian can block an agent action that poses a cybersecurity risk or quarantine the agent when the issue is not limited to a single action.

Cyera Endpoint monitors AI agents running on employee devices, which are often outside the reach of traditional enterprise cybersecurity tools. It can prevent users from loading business data into non-work agents. It also prevents agents from moving records off an employee device when they do not have permission to do so.

Earlier this month, Cyera completed a $1 billion acquisition of Oasis Security Ltd., further expanding its agent security capabilities. Oasis offers a platform for securing non-human identities, the accounts that AI agents use to log into company applications. The platform can map NHIs in a corporate network, identify which agents use them and flag cybersecurity risks such as overly broad access permissions.

“AI infrastructure is moving faster than the security architecture around it,” Cyera co-founder and CEO Yotam Segev said. “This investment accelerates our work to bring data and identity together, so enterprises can give agents access with confidence and keep that access aligned with business intent.”

Cyera will use the capital to build more AI security features. The company will also work to expand adoption of its software in the federal government and international markets.

Editor's Summary

Cyera has raised $400 million from Goldman Sachs as an extension to its Series G round, valuing the startup at more than $12 billion. The funding follows its launch of AI agent security products and its $1 billion acquisition of Oasis Security, as it seeks to protect enterprise data and non-human identities. Cyera plans to add AI security features and expand in federal and international markets.
