Daytona raises $60M Series B at $1B valuation for agent cloud
Daytona Platforms said Friday it raised a $60 million Series B led by FirstMark Growth at a $1 billion valuation, bringing total funding to $91 million. The New York startup builds cloud infrastructure for long-running agents.
FirstMark also led Daytona's $24 million Series A in February. The latest round includes angel investors Patrick Collison of Stripe, Tobi Lütke of Shopify, Aravind Srinivas of Perplexity, Eric Yuan of Zoom, Olivier Pomel of Datadog, Adam D'Angelo of Quora and an OpenAI board member, and Brendan Foody of Mercor. Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Okta Ventures also participated, the company said.
Daytona, founded three years ago, argues that agents have infrastructure needs different from earlier software. Founder Ivan Burazin wrote in a blog post announcing the round that “Agents don’t work like the long-lived services today’s cloud was designed for. They spin up thousands of short, stateful jobs nobody planned in advance, and they need a cloud built for that,” according to TechCrunch. He said Daytona’s cloud is like giving every agent its own computer, with access to sandboxed versions of Linux, Windows, macOS and GPUs, among other services, on one platform.
