Dell and theCUBE to Discuss Private Cloud Reset for Enterprise AI on Sept. 23

SiliconANGLE reported that private cloud is no longer a mere alternative to the public cloud. It is becoming private infrastructure, a purpose-built architecture for enterprise AI. Dell Technologies Inc. is building private cloud solutions that can streamline workflows and accelerate time-to-value for AI. Dell launched its Private Cloud last year through the Dell Automation Platform, a software offering designed to simplify how customers deploy and operate disaggregated solutions with secure, zero-touch onboarding and centralized management.

The platform underscored an interest in building out AI offerings for on-premises deployment. Organizations are realizing that on-premises infrastructure can be more efficient for AI inference at scale, providing cost-effectiveness and operational flexibility, according to SiliconANGLE.

“The private cloud is undergoing a strategic reset as enterprises move from AI experimentation to operational intelligence,” said theCUBE Research’s Paul Nashawaty. “The next generation of private cloud matters. Enterprises need infrastructure that is open, automated and adaptable enough to support multiple application and AI environments without forcing teams into another silo. Dell’s move toward disaggregated infrastructure and automated private-cloud operations speaks directly to that need, making private cloud less about infrastructure ownership and more about creating an agile platform for the intelligent enterprise.”

The event agenda includes how modern data foundations and intelligent operations work together to deploy, manage and scale private cloud ecosystems on top of modular infrastructure. theCUBE analysts will join Dell leaders and industry practitioners during the virtual event to explore ways private cloud can provide a foundation for AI workflows without adding complexity, creating new silos or forcing disruptive refresh cycles.

Adoption of memory-driven agentic AI is fueling interest in the economics of the private cloud, according to SiliconANGLE. One example is advanced memory tiering, which uses physical RAM, or DRAM, with fast, lower-cost NVMe solid-state drives in a single logical memory pool to lower hardware costs. theCUBE Research analysts said this could be a factor in driving private cloud adoption.

A recent interview on theCUBE with Dell executives also referenced the economics of a disaggregated cloud model that can provide up to 65% in cost savings versus hyperconverged infrastructure. Dell Private Cloud with PowerStore can offer six-to-one data reduction, on top of operational savings and freedom from HCI. SiliconANGLE reported that factors such as these offer further evidence that enterprises are looking closely at the economics of scale as AI deployment continues to expand.

“Enterprises are reaching a tipping point with ad-hoc infrastructure stacks as AI workloads and shifting virtualization licensing fundamentally alter total cost of ownership models,” said theCUBE Research’s Dave Vellante. “The market is moving away from tightly coupled, rigid bundles toward disaggregated, open architectures that allow compute and storage to scale independently. CIOs are no longer treating private cloud as a legacy holding area, but as a modular operational platform designed for predictable performance, data sovereignty and long-term cost control.”
