Dell XPS 13 (2026) Drops to $799.99 at Best Buy as TechRadar Calls It a MacBook Neo Rival

Best Buy has cut the Dell XPS 13 (2026) to $799.99, $200 below its previous $999.99 price. TechRadar says the 2.2-pound Windows laptop pairs a 120Hz touchscreen with Intel Core 5 320 performance.

The 13.4-inch laptop is built in an aluminum chassis that measures 0.5 inches thick and weighs 2.2 pounds. Its display has a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with touch support. TechRadar lists the laptop as best suited to professionals, remote workers and students who want an exceptionally light premium Windows machine with a high-resolution touchscreen for working on the move.

Under the hood, the XPS 13 (2026) uses a six-core Intel Core 5 320 processor, identified in the report as Wildcat Lake, capable of boosting to 4.6GHz. It has integrated Intel graphics and an NPU rated at up to 16 TOPS. The configuration also includes 16GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory, a 512GB PCIe SSD and Wi-Fi 7. Connectivity is limited to two USB-C ports.

TechRadar's reviewer Christian gave the laptop a three-and-a-half-star rating. “Positioned as a rival to Apple's new budget-friendly MacBook Neo, the Dell XPS 13 returns for 2026 with an all-new design and lower price point,” Christian wrote. “It's a bold move, and while Dell doesn't quite stick the landing, the end result is still a solid choice of laptop for anyone who prefers Windows over macOS.”

The price cut comes after the model launched at $899. Best Buy's $799.99 deal is therefore $99.99 below that launch price, as well as $200 below the retailer's previous $999.99 price, according to TechRadar. The publication said the reduction is significant given the combination of the high-resolution touchscreen, aluminum construction and low weight.

TechRadar also flagged limitations for some buyers. The 16GB of memory is not expandable, and the two USB-C ports mean a hub or dock may become necessary for users who need more physical connectivity. The publication advised buyers who expect to upgrade memory later or require extensive ports to consider those constraints before purchasing.

The XPS 13 has long been Dell's premium thin-and-light line, and the 2026 version continues that focus, according to TechRadar. At the discounted price, the publication presented it as an option for Windows users who prioritize portability and display quality over port selection and upgradeability.
