Delta 2.0 Adds iPhone Duo Support and Liquid Glass Interface
Delta 2.0 adds iPhone Duo support, a Liquid Glass interface, Sega Genesis ROMs and audio mixing, 9to5Mac reports.
The update includes controller skins designed for the iPhone Duo's different poses. Among them are Nintendo DS layouts that use the full inner display and span the crease when the device is partially folded in portrait book mode. The larger screen supports more immersive play, and the app also reflows on the closed outer screen in portrait.
A small easter egg lets users fold the Duo closed to put the emulated DS to sleep, mimicking the behavior of the physical console.
In landscape Split View with another app, Delta uses a custom keyboard view for the bottom half of the virtual DS. The system then allows that keyboard to stretch across the full width of the screen, overlapping the other app in the split, as shown with a video player. Normally, Split View limits each app to 50% of the screen.
Beyond iPhone Duo support, Delta 2.0 adds Sega Genesis ROM compatibility, improved library navigation and updated audio settings that let game audio mix with music or a podcast already playing.
The premium version of Delta can be unlocked through an in-app purchase subscription in the App Store, now available worldwide. Users in the US, EU, Brazil and Japan can also support the app directly through Patreon.
