Denza Z9S Goes on Sale in China With Up to 1,100 km CLTC Range, Starting at 255,800 Yuan

The model comes in three versions — the Flash Charging Prestige, Flash Charging Flagship and Yisanfang Flash Charging Performance — which Denza says address different buyer priorities. The car uses a second-generation blade battery with fast-charging technology. Denza describes the charging performance as "five minutes for a good charge, nine minutes for a full charge, and only three minutes more at minus 30 degrees Celsius," a figure that depends on charging conditions and the starting and ending state of charge.

Alongside the car, Denza announced eleven launch benefits that it values at up to 80,000 yuan, including up to 20,000 yuan in optional equipment credit, a financing plan with zero down payment, zero monthly payment and zero interest, up to 20,000 yuan in trade-in subsidy and one year of free fast charging. The company said specific conditions are set by official rules. A Denza ambassador program was launched at the same time, offering up to 20 benefits.

The Z9S continues Denza's "elegant momentum" design language, with a side line running from the front door to the rear, and a front face and tail said to echo each other. It has frameless doors, pebble-shaped exterior mirrors and narrower front tires than rear tires. Seven exterior colors and three interior colors are offered.

Inside, the front seats are dual zero-gravity units that Denza says follow NASA aviation seat standards, trimmed in NAPPA leather. The cabin uses a 15-square-meter acoustic package and, according to the company, received a 2026 low wind-noise award from CATARC. It also has three-zone dual-layer air conditioning, Devialet audio, a 795 mm panoramic roof and a color-temperature vanity mirror. Denza says a 1.8-meter passenger has ample headroom in the rear, and lists 120 liters of front trunk space, a 470-liter expandable rear trunk and 44 storage compartments.

On range, Denza cites a drag coefficient of 0.22, a second-generation wide-temperature-range heat pump, a new eight-in-one electric drive unit and regenerative braking. The company puts drive-unit efficiency at 94 percent. For charging, it says more than 10,000 fast-charging stations have been built, with highway fast-charging stations approaching 2,000.

The chassis centers on the Yisanfang vehicle control platform, which uses three independent motors, independently steered rear dual motors and an upgraded VMC motion control 2.0 system to coordinate power and steering across wheels. The car supports 10-degree rear-wheel steering in both directions and a minimum turning radius of 4.75 meters. Maximum output is 1,210 PS, with a fastest 0-100 km/h time of 2.68 seconds; Denza notes figures differ by version. The Yunian-A intelligent air body control system works with road preview 2.0, and the driver's seat has active side bolsters.

Denza also claims the Z9S can stay stable after a tire blowout at 160 km/h in a curve and at 200 km/h in a straight line, and at 120 km/h in a curve while highway pilot is engaged, under the company's test conditions. A new Yisanfang escort reminder surfaces the status of these functions. The body is built to C-NCAP five-star standards, with an integrated front collision detection system and a water immersion warning system; Denza says the second-generation blade battery exceeds the new national standard for safety.

The cabin runs an AI agent called Didixia, which Denza says has moved from single voice commands to multi-step task execution. It connects to more than ten partners including Alipay, NetEase Cloud Music, Taobao Shangou and Fliggy, and can break down tasks and dispatch services for vehicle control, navigation and scenario-based requests. Users can pick from two avatars, three personalities and six voice options, while a companion called Diva handles personalization. The car also offers an NFC magnetic ecosystem, Apple CarPlay in window mode and phone connectivity across major brands.

Driver assistance comes from Shenzhizhiyan 5.0, which Denza says adds reinforcement learning on top of an end-to-end large model and iterates on more than 230 million km of real driving data per day. The company offers urban pilot and smart parking with a "double guarantee" service.

Leiphone wrote that the 255,800 to 325,800 yuan pricing places these systems in a more competitive segment, and that the next test for Denza is whether the launched specifications translate into stable, noticeable performance in daily driving.
