Denza Z9S Show Cars Reach 334 Stores in 166 Chinese Cities; Pre-Sale Price Is 319,800-389,800 Yuan
Denza said Z9S show cars have reached 334 stores in 166 Chinese cities. The sedan, priced 319,800-389,800 yuan in pre-sale, debuted at the Chengdu Auto Show on Aug. 21.
At the Chengdu show, Denza said professional media and visitors stopped to experience the Z9S, take photos and ask questions, making it one of the busiest models in the exhibition hall. The automaker describes the Z9S as a technology-luxury intelligent sedan. It uses an 'Elegance' original design for a coupe-like stance, with meteor-themed lights and seven exterior and three interior color choices. The cabin has dual zero-gravity front seats with Nappa leather, a suede headliner, and a body nearly 5.1 meters long. The rear seats electrically adjust and are paired with a luxury armrest that integrates a 7-inch screen. The car has a 120-liter front trunk and a 470-liter expandable rear trunk; with the rear seats folded, Denza says it can hold skis and camping gear.
The Flash Charging Flagship version has a CLTC pure electric range of 1,100 km, which Denza says sets a global record. It uses the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology that can charge in 5 minutes to a usable level and in 9 minutes to full, according to the company. Denza says more than 7,000 flash charging stations are deployed nationwide, covering urban areas and highway networks. The company positions the charging speed as comparable to refueling a gasoline car.
The Z9S is built on the e3 technology platform. Denza says it produces up to 1,210 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.68 seconds. All versions have rear-wheel steering, giving a minimum turning radius of 4.75 meters. Denza says this allows U-turns in narrow alleys in Chengdu's old city and parking in mall garages. The car uses the Yunian-A intelligent air body control system with Road Preview 2.0 to reduce bumps from potholes and speed bumps. Denza also cites globally leading double-lane-change test results on dry and wet roads, a C-NCAP five-star safety body, and the second-generation Blade Battery for stability and safety in heavy rain and slippery conditions.
For intelligent features, the Z9S carries what Denza calls a 'Diva intelligent partner' and the 'Didixia super intelligent agent,' which respond to continuous spoken commands and offer emoji interactions in the cabin. The car offers 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch central touchscreen options and supports mainstream phone-to-car connectivity. The God's Eye 5.0 advanced driver assistance system is designed to keep evolving, and Denza says it can achieve zero takeovers during urban commutes in morning and evening peaks. A magnetic ecosystem allows owners to attach decorative accessories for a personalized cabin.
