DJI's Mic and Mic Mini Lines Now Cover Five Models, TechRadar Says

DJI sells five microphones across its Mic and Mic Mini lines after the 2026 launch of the Mic Mini 2 and Mic Mini 2S, TechRadar reports. All five models received five-star reviews.

The two main lines are Mic and Mic Mini. The Mic line is positioned as more professional, larger and higher specced, with details varying by model but generally including superior audio quality, more adaptable noise cancelling, timecode and built-in storage. The Mic Mini line is more compact and lightweight, and TechRadar describes it as an excellent entry-level choice, though the main Mic models are not bulky.

The main range includes the Mic 2, launched in 2024, and the Mic 3, launched in 2025. Both remain widely available. The Mini range includes the Mic Mini, launched in 2024, and the Mic Mini 2 and Mic Mini 2S, both released in 2026. TechRadar said that within each lineup, newer models generally carry more advanced specifications, though the gaps between some generations are larger than others. The Mic Mini 2S arrived after the Mic Mini 2 and adds several upgrades, with internal recording the most significant.

Buyers can choose from various bundles of transmitters, receivers and charge cases for each model. TechRadar said these elements can broadly be purchased individually as well.

Connectivity is consistent across the range: all five models offer USB-C or Lightning and a 3.5mm jack, and all support Bluetooth. The Mic Mini 2S supports Bluetooth 6.0. Wireless range varies. The Mic Mini 2S and Mic Mini 2 reach up to 400 meters with the standard receiver and up to 300 meters with the mobile receiver. The Mic Mini and Mic 3 reach up to 400 meters, while the Mic 2 reaches up to 250 meters.

Battery life differs by model. The Mic Mini 2S is rated for 11 hours on the transmitter, 10 hours on the receiver and 40 hours with its case. The Mic Mini 2 and Mic Mini are rated for 11.5 hours on the transmitter, 10.5 hours on the receiver and 48 hours with their case. The Mic 3 is rated for 10 hours on the transmitter, 8 hours on the receiver and up to 28 hours with a fully charged case. The Mic 2 is rated for 6 hours on the transmitter, 6 hours on the receiver and 18 hours with its case.

Noise cancelling also separates the models. The Mic Mini 2S has two-level, AI-powered noise cancelling. The Mic Mini 2 has two-level noise cancelling, and the Mic Mini has two-level automatic noise cancelling. The Mic 3 has two-level active noise cancelling, while the Mic 2 uses intelligent noise cancelling. TechRadar said there is no dud option in the lineup, but certain models will suit different needs better.
