Domyn CEO Uljan Sharka: 'We're a few quarters away from $1bn ARR'

Domyn founder and CEO Uljan Sharka says the Italian AI unicorn is close to $1bn annual recurring revenue, and discusses Europe's AI ambitions on a podcast.

Sharka, who migrated from Albania to Italy in 2008 without knowing Italian, later worked for Apple in Silicon Valley before launching Milan-based Domyn in 2016. The company develops AI models and agents for enterprise use cases, as well as AI gigafactories.

On the podcast, Sharka discussed the virtues of small language models and what Europe can hope to gain from the EU's Europa frontier model consortium, which Domyn is leading. He also offered lessons for founders, drawing on examples from Revolut's Nik Storonsky.
