Dongfeng-Huawei Yijing X9 Goes on Sale From RMB 279,800, RMB 20,000 Below Pre-Sale

At the launch, Yijing said buyers receive three basic benefits and eight limited-time benefits with total value up to RMB 100,000. Aaron Kwok, the model's global ambassador, appeared and announced the price and benefits. Physics teacher Li Yongle was named safety verification officer, and actress Myolie Wu was named cabin experience officer, with both sharing their views on the vehicle's safety and daily use, according to Leifeng News.

The X9 integrates six Huawei Qiankun intelligent solutions: ADS 5 intelligent driving, HarmonyOS cockpit, Chitu platform, intelligent vehicle lighting, intelligent vehicle cloud and Jingqi communications. It debuts Huawei's HarmonySpace 6 cockpit, a dual-screen display, the HAMOMO AI companion robot and the AMS cabin fusion perception system, Leifeng News reported.

Yijing says the X9 is the only large six-seat SUV under RMB 300,000 with four lidars, and three of its four variants carry the four-lidar configuration. All variants use CATL batteries and have a CLTC pure electric range of 465 km, which Yijing describes as the longest pure electric range among range-extended 9-series models. The vehicle has ±7° rear-wheel steering, a chassis made with 91% aluminum, dual-chamber air suspension and EDC dampers, supported by Huawei's Chitu platform.

The X9 carries what Yijing calls the industry's first all-time-space safety architecture, Tianqiong Zhidun, which links intelligent driving safety, active safety, passive safety, battery safety, rescue safety and cabin health into one system covering before, during and after a crash. Its B-pillar uses 2400MPa ultra-high-strength steel reinforcement, 20% higher than the industry mainstream, while the body is 92.4% high-strength steel and aluminum. It also has a 2300MPa hot gas expansion tube beam in the A-pillar, a 2300MPa hot-formed dual door ring and a 2300MPa side door anti-collision beam. Yijing says the X9 is the first mass-produced SUV to pass a 105 km/h high-speed frontal offset crash test and the first mass-produced car to pass a 20-ton container vertical roof crush test.

On quality control, Huawei has helped introduce 23 vehicle validation standards and methods, according to the report. The two sides built an automated testing laboratory that uses testing shift-left and automated stress testing to identify risks earlier. It covers more than 4,000 vehicle interfaces and has accumulated more than 400,000 stress tests. For more than 30 typical road conditions, including square pits, slope pits and flying jumps, the companies designed more than 220 scenarios to validate reliability and durability.

Dongfeng and Huawei have established a 1:1 deep-binding partnership with long-term co-growth and continuous investment across research, production, supply, sales and service. Huawei invested three years in the project and gave Yijing priority access to its newest technologies, the report said. Huawei also introduced its IPD integrated product development and IPMS integrated product marketing and sales management systems, while the two companies have started joint development of a new-generation intelligent chassis technology cluster. Wang Junjun, chairman of Yijing Automobile, said: “Dongfeng and Huawei's full-stack native integration model has achieved the industry's deepest co-creation. All of this is reflected in the Yijing X9. The best Huawei is in Yijing.”

Jin Yuzhi, senior vice president of Huawei and CEO of Yinwang, said the Yijing X9 fully implements Huawei's six intelligent automotive solutions and leads its class. He said Huawei's OTA system allows the vehicle to keep evolving throughout its life cycle and extend smart technology from travel to broader daily scenarios.

Yijing X9 offers a lifetime warranty covering key components including the three-electric system and air suspension. The brand said more than 60% of its dealers are among China's top 100 dealers. In October, Yijing stores will open in 90 cities, with service covering 150 cities and 400 experience touchpoints. Stores will follow Huawei terminal standards and adopt Huawei Huitong service standards, with online guidance and dedicated managers through Huawei's Cloud Magpie platform. Charging integration with Dongfeng and Huawei ecosystems gives access to more than 2.8 million charging piles. At the event, Aaron Kwok also announced the results of Yijing's promotion in which eight lucky users won one-year free use of a Yijing X9.
