Doubao Work Adds Canvas Feature, Integrates Doubao 2.1 Lite Model

Doubao Work has added a canvas feature for complex creative tasks and integrated the lightweight Doubao 2.1 Lite model for daily office work, according to Leiphone. The canvas also connects to the new Seedream 5.0 Flash image model.

According to Leiphone, the canvas puts materials, design plans and creative results on the same page. Users can carry out each step on one infinite canvas, viewing, comparing and organizing content at any time. After an image is generated, they can continue to edit text, colors and layout, adjusting from the overall style to local details.

The canvas also connects to a new image model, Seedream 5.0 Flash. In complex creative workflows, the relevant Agent can begin with understanding requirements and planning solutions, then generate images, videos and complete sets of designs, Leiphone reported.

To use the feature, users can open Doubao Work, or the work task mode on Doubao's web and desktop versions, click "Skills" and select "Create Canvas," or open the "Creative Design" skill and enter a prompt. Generated content is automatically collected onto the same canvas. Doubao previously launched creation quota packages with higher usage limits for users with high-frequency creative design needs.

The Doubao 2.1 Lite model is being added to Doubao Work for daily Q&A, document writing, table processing and PPT creation. According to Leiphone, it has been optimized for response speed and quota consumption, and it has strong capabilities in image, video and audio understanding, with improved performance in multimodal scenarios such as education and office work. Users can upgrade the client to the latest version and select "Doubao 2.1 Lite" to use it.

Doubao Work has maintained weekly updates since its Aug. 25 release, Leiphone reported. It has introduced multi-Agent parallelism and Mac-based computer operation, local Office file editing, browser screen recording and playback, goal mode and plan mode, and upgraded the Doubao 2.1 Pro model.
