Dyson Airwrap i.d. hits $499.99 in Prime Day sale as TechRadar flags Supersonic Nural alternative

TechRadar reports Dyson Airwrap i.d. has fallen to $499.99 and Supersonic Nural to $349.99 for Prime Day, with the dryer pitched as a smarter buy for some shoppers.

Both deals require a Prime subscription, though TechRadar noted that shoppers can use a free trial. TechRadar said good Airwrap discounts are rare and tend to come and go quickly, and the $210 price cut takes the styler back to the lowest price it has seen lately. The price of the Supersonic Nural tends to fluctuate, but based on TechRadar's price tracker, it has only been this cheap once before, very briefly in November 2025, which TechRadar guessed was Black Friday.

TechRadar's reviewer said they had tested most of Dyson's haircare range and considered the Supersonic Nural the unsung hero of the lineup. For shoppers who prioritize healthier hair drying, TechRadar said the Supersonic Nural's Scalp Protect mode raises or lowers temperature to maintain what feels like constant heat on the head. That allows users to get close to the scalp for precision styling without frying the head or roots, a feature the Airwrap does not have. TechRadar also said that if hair drying is the priority, the Supersonic Nural is more comfortable and efficient than the Airwrap plus dryer attachment.

For those with naturally curly hair, TechRadar said the Supersonic Nural is arguably the better choice. Its attachments include a two-part diffuser with one section for drying and another for defining, a wide-tooth comb described as ideal for coily hair, and a soft air attachment.

For people who swap attachments frequently, TechRadar said the Supersonic Nural's attachments are magnetic and easier to change than the Airwrap's clip-in, clip-out process. The dryer also has attachment recognition, so it knows what is attached and remembers preferred settings.

TechRadar said shoppers should consider the Airwrap i.d. if they have straight hair and want curls. The Supersonic Nural has no curling tools. The Airwrap i.d. feature lets users flip a switch on the handle to launch a wrap, curl, and cool shot sequence personalized for their hair type, which TechRadar said delivers perfect results with minimal effort. For bouncy blowouts, TechRadar said the Airwrap i.d. includes a round brush attachment that the reviewer uses regularly for volume and loose curls. The Supersonic Nural has no equivalent attachment.
