Dyson unveils 12 new products at Berlin event, from liquid-cooled hair straightener to AI robot vacuums

Dyson unveiled 12 products in Berlin, ranging from a liquid-cooled hair straightener to robot vacuums with AI stain detection.

The Verge reported that two of the new hair-care products are upgrades aimed at reducing damage. The $329 Corrale CoolShine straightener is an upgrade to the original Corrale from 2020, with the same flexing copper plates that heat hair above 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Newly added water-filled pipes pull excess heat away during styling, so hair is straightened and cooled in a single pass. Dyson says this active cooling reduces residual heat exposure and leaves hair smoother, softer, and cooler to the touch.

Also new is the $249 Dyson Airsmooth dryer brush, which combines the drying technology from Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryers with a brush attachment. Its teardrop-shaped attachment has looped bristles that collapse under tension to release strands and prevent snagging. The company says an intelligent heat control system adjusts the temperature 100 times per second to reduce frizz and heat damage.

On the home-care side, Engadget reported, the flagship introduction was the $1,099 HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ air purifier. It comes in three sizes and is built for long-range air projection and multi-room purification, with a directional nozzle and a three-stage filtration system that captures dust, particulates and gases. Dyson says the purifier also destroys formaldehyde, and the same low-noise nozzle design will be adopted across its air purifiers, heaters and coolers.

Dyson also moved its robot vacuums under a new Nurovi brand, a name combining neural intelligence and vision systems. The top model, the $1,199 Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, is a wet-and-dry robot that uses UV light and AI to identify invisible stains. According to Engadget, Dyson says it can identify nearly 200 types of household substances and objects, and its self-cleaning wet roller uses a 12-point hydration system with water heated to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. It launches on September 15.

The $699 Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry, also for carpets and hard floors, uses Reuleaux triangle pads that maintain a constant width while rotating, allowing it to wash into corners and create what Dyson calls a square cleaning finish. It also has a twin-capture system that separates fine and coarse dirt, and went on sale Sept. 3 as a Costco exclusive, Engadget reported.

Dyson said it will release a new generation of its slimline PencilWash, the $349 W1 PencilWash, in fall 2026. It adds an upgraded absorbent roller, a more hygienic waste system and a self-cleaning dock.
