Eufy Omni E35 Review: 35,000 Pa Suction, Self-Cleaning Dock, but No Mop-Only Mode

The Omni E35 is the new flagship of Eufy's E series, sitting above the E25 and E38 but below the company's S tier and the Omni S2, TechRadar said. It costs £999 in the UK and $1,299.99 in the US, with an Australian price still to be confirmed; TechRadar listed an approximate Australian figure of AU$1,830. That places it £100 above the E28 and below the older £1,299 S1 and £1,599 S2.

According to the review, the E35 has slightly more suction power than the range-topping S2 and uses much of the same self-cleaning and anti-tangle technology. It does not include the S2's fragrance system, water electrolysis function or more advanced vision system. Those omissions help explain the lower price and the more compact base station, TechRadar said.

The dock empties the dust bin, replenishes the mopping water tank, washes the mop with hot water and dries it with warm air, making the system hands-off for weeks at a time, according to TechRadar. The base holds a 2.5-liter dust bag, a 2.5-liter clean water tank and a 2.4-liter dirty water tank, the review said. The robot measures 14.2 inches in diameter and 4.6 inches tall, can clear thresholds up to 1.2 inches, and has a maximum runtime of 180 minutes.

TechRadar said the E35's self-cleaning roller mop scrubs effectively and stays remarkably clean after use, though it does not clean perfectly when stains are dried on. The mop has an edge-cleaning design, lifts automatically on carpet and pushes down to scrub stains, the review said. The robot also has dual detangling brushes, and TechRadar reported that after weeks of use the mop still looked brand-new, the roller was free from tangled hair and the dust bin filter was not caked in dust.

Vacuuming performance was described as fantastic on carpet and hard floors alike, and the review said the E35 prevents fine dust from blocking the filter. Navigation is strong and the Eufy app works very well, according to TechRadar, though the review noted small issues with phantom room mapping. The E35 also lacks a mop-only function, which TechRadar called frustrating.

TechRadar gave the E35 a value-for-money score of 4 out of 5. Its main drawbacks were the relatively high price, the absence of a mop-only mode and the phantom room mapping issues. Good navigation, a polished app and impressive self-maintenance made the Omni E35 easy to recommend, the review concluded.
