Leaked Exynos 2700 die shot shows deca-core CPU, Xclipse 970 GPU, and large NPU for Galaxy S27.

According to the leak, the Exynos 2700 has two C2 Ultra big cores, one clocked at 4.24GHz and the other at 3.36GHz, plus eight C2 Pro medium cores split into a 3.74GHz quad-core cluster and a 2.88GHz quad-core cluster. The die shot also appears to show 24MB of system-level cache and 16MB of L3 cache. That 4.24GHz peak would trail Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the 5GHz peak reported for its successor.

Compared with Samsung's current Exynos 2600, which was previously described with one C1 Ultra core at 3.8GHz, three C1 Pro cores at 3.25GHz and six C1 Pro cores at 2.75GHz, the new arrangement is notable for having two big cores running at different frequencies. The slower big core is even clocked lower than the faster C2 Pro cluster. Qualcomm, by contrast, generally equips its flagship processors with two big cores running at the same speed.

The leaked image labels an Xclipse 970 GPU with what appear to be eight workgroup processors, in line with the Exynos 2600's GPU configuration. It also shows a large NPU, suggesting a significant increase in on-device AI performance.

The Exynos 2700 is expected to sit next to DRAM on the package, meaning the Heat Path Block, effectively a heat sink, will likely cover both components and could improve thermals. Samsung is reported to use the Exynos 2700 alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in the Galaxy S27 lineup. Earlier leaks pointed to Exynos versions of some Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus units, but one recent leak indicated the Galaxy S27 Ultra may also carry the Exynos 2700.
